Dehydrated Booze!

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

We discussed this idea over lunchies last month, and lo and behold, some Dutch students have developed a very drinkable powdered alcohol.

The latest innovation in inebriation, called Booz2Go, is available in 20-gramme packets that cost 1-1.5 euros ($1.35-$2).

Top it up with water and you have a bubbly, lime-colored and -flavored drink with just 3 percent alcohol content.

prohibition was stupid

Ode to Spring, Hanover style

Monday, May 21st, 2007

(1.) Big Fatty’s. So awesome even the D writes about it. Another review here.

(2.) Dartmouth Beach. [1998 version=boring]

(3.) Wednesday is Brisket day at Big Fatty’s - sounds like a lunchies trip to me?

(4.) Eating at Collis is finally warmer than the Atrium.

(5.) Green Key, if you’re an undergrad. [stupid IvyGate guide to frats] [equally harsh guide to sororities]

as you can tell, this isn’t the awesomest list ever. but hopefully there can be contributions made, and mostly this was just an excuse to post stuff on bbq/lunchies.

Peanut butter karma

Friday, February 16th, 2007

Over 300 people nationwide have come down with a serious case of salmonella,  with the source now pinpointed to be specific lots of ConAgra Foods “peanut butter.”  That term is in quotes because the suspect items of Peter Pan and Wal-Mart’s Great Value house brand - and I’m not sure those really count as honest peanut butter, more like peanut flavored trans fats?

anyway, be warned.
