There’s an asteroid, about the same size as whatever produced Meteor Crater in Arizona, approaching Mars with a roughly 3.6 percent chance of smacking into the planet this month. Further refinement of the asteroid’s trajectory could shrink that probability even further. But here’s hoping we get to see it hit.
