Tsunami surfing

Friday, August 17th, 2007

Global warming is apparently a good thing, since it means more waves - as glaciers break up they create surfable mini-tsunamis.

The direct file link is here (realplayer) or here (windows media).

Used stuff, cheap (part II)

Friday, August 17th, 2007

Anybody want an old but still in good shape Honda Civic?  Cosmetic rust, “new” tranny.  Details.  ~$1500.

(sorry for the commercialization of the blog, but hopefully it’s not too bad.)

Giambi goes unpunished?

Friday, August 17th, 2007

Apparently all Barry Bonds would have to do is admit that he took steroids, and all would be forgiven?

Yesterday the most gutless commissioner in recent history said that Giambi would not be punished “because of his charity work and cooperation with the Mitchell investigation.”  Nevermind the fact that Giambi “cooperated” and talked with George Mitchell only because the alternative was being suspended for a long long time.

What a joke.  Not to mention a dangerous legal precedent if/when MLB tried to suspend the next steroids violator.

Used stuff, cheap!

As in, our get-rid-of-stuff-because-we’re-moving yard sale, tomorrow.  You know it’s official because it’s on Craigslist.  Furniture, kitchen stuff, a TV, a used but nice dining table and chairs set (originally owned by Nathaniel, maybe you could get his autograph if you ask nicely?)… If you have nothing else to do, come over and hang out.  I think K is making cookies?
Oh, and Brian, if you are around today I should give you the measuring cups and spoons.  They’re not super fancy, but they’re something.  K reminded me but I forgot at tea yesterday.
