iPhone

So, I’ve been holding out on the iPhone. It’s pretty and all and it would be very nice to be able to check my email remotely, but it’s sort of crazy expensive and there really haven’t been any reviews to say whether it’s actually good or not.

Yesterday, they announced the pricing for the wireless plans and it “only” costs $20 more a month to add unlimited data to my cell account.

Today, the first reviews came in and they’re glowing.

Ugg, even Kirsten is starting to think they look really cool. Luckily we’re leaving on vacation on Friday and will be in the air while the entire stock of iPhones probably sells out. I can only hope because otherwise there’s going to be a very large whole in my wallet.

    They are pretty slick. I’m curious to see the public/user reaction is, given all the anti-hype out there about how steep the learning curve is and the non-intuitive keyboard, etc. On one hand, the iPod won b/c of simplicity, but then people always underestimate the young Apple user as a consumer force.

    It’s Marvelous.
    Better than I expected - we went out for something at a different store and I came home w/ that… immediately gave away my old phone and haven’t thought about it since. Never going back.

    Sadly, it wasn’t on my own iPhone, just on one I was playing with at the apple store.

    It was amazingly cool though. I think I’m going to have to pick one up tomorrow. (Should have done it today since I was in Portland, OR, where there is no sales tax. Now I’m in Seattle where there is.)
