Good for searching, great employment/worksite/benefits, but also the recipient of Privacy International’s lowest possible grade, a category which is “reserved for companies with ‘comprehensive consumer surveillance and entrenched hostility to privacy.’ ”
Some of the 22 other surveyed companies (including Yahoo, Microsoft, and even AOL) may have troubling policies, but none come as close to Google to “achieving status as an endemic threat to privacy,” Privacy International said in an explanation of its findings.
I’m actually not surprised, but still a bit disappointed.
