Ebay Sucks

Posted by Nathaniel.

I was just bidding on a wide-angle lens for my big camera and someone outbid me in the last 5 seconds.

Such a pain in the ass. On the other hand, it looks like there’s another similar lens up now, so I’ll just try bidding on that one instead.

That does suck, I hate that.

However, if you are not adverse to doing the same thing to other people, then I recommend AuctionStealer.com. A free account lets you snipe three items per week, where you enter your max amount and they bid with ~10-20 seconds left. If you pay a little bit then you can adjust the bid time, etc.

anyway, good luck on the other lens!

Did you post a thing earlier on sniping auctions? I deleted it since I thought it was spam.

Anyway, I got the other lens for about $80 less than an identicle lens that sold 20 minutes before. It’s definitely better than the one that got sniped too. It has a newer, more accurate shutter as well as being multicoated instead of just singlecoated.

I posted a comment that started with “that does suck, I hate that” and then about sniping auctions. but yeah, it does look like spam. although, it doesn’t look like you’ve actually deleted it. so if you deleted another one, then it wasn’t me.

congrats on the lens, and it being better than the one lost. hooray ebay!
