Leonids This Weekend
Friday, November 17th, 2006It’s once again time for the Leonids. This year’s shower is predicted to have an outburst of 100-150 meteors per hour, around 11:45pm EST Saturday. So find a dark sky site and settle back to watch. For those in Hanover, I suggest the golf course, if you don’t want to travel far. Further out is probably even better, since it was pretty damned dark out in South Strafford. Just make sure you have a decently clear view of the eastern sky.
Of course, it looks like it’s going to be cloudy anyway, so finding a good dark sky site would be pointless.
