Monday, September 25th, 2006Watchin’ this show about the last time the Highwaymen got together to record an album, back in the mid-90’s.
They were sittin’ ’round, talkin’ ’bout where they’d go on tour, when Waylon vetoed going to France, prompting Kristofferson to object, based on France’s cultural significance. Waylon’s response:
“I never said I had class; I just promised I’d be here.”
Damn, man, what a line.
