Apparently, for the three people in this country who didn’t already know, Willie smokes pot and partakes of the occasional ’shroom.

Seriously, what did those Louisiana state troopers expect to find when they decided to stop and inspect Willie’s bus?

Fortunately, it looks like Willie and his pals got off without jail time. I reckon even them hard-nosed Louisiana boys in blue realized the futility of pursuing harsher punishments. Maybe we should go ahead and have the federales declare Willie’s bus to be equivalent to international waters for the sake of things like smokin’ out?

I need to send this to my buddy Doug, he’ll love the Elvis-with-flames option.

Since last week is a long time ago, I thought I’d remind everybody (me) of the next couple days.

today (Monday)

(1) Graduate Studies Office BBQ, 5 - 6:30 pm Food/Beverages provided by the Graduate Studies Office. Partners and children welcome. Moore Hall Patio.

tomorrow (Tuesday)

(2) Dartmouth Community BBQ, 12 noon - 1:30 pm, Tuck Drive (In case of rain, event will be held in Thayer Dining Hall).

(3) Department Mixer 5-9pm, James’ house (see email or prev post for directions.) this is the best free food of the week, since we get $$$ from the Department to spend as we see fit. free food, free beer/drinkies, meet everybody.  Mandatory attendance unless excused by Judy or Gaynell.

(4) Quiz Night! 9 pm, Murphy’s on the Green. Come to Murphy’s for a fun-filled night of trivia, courtesy of Top Hat Entertainment. Come on your own or with a team and enjoy this weekly local favorite. (cheap beer/drink specials)
