Who Says Pluto Is No Longer a Planet?

Friday, September 1st, 2006

So it turns out there were some problems with the vote at the IAU meeting… namely only that about 10% of the people there actually voted on the resolution about Pluto. There are now petitions and such to try to reverse the decision so the last word hasn’t been said yet.

But what does Fox News have to say about this? Something to the effect of “I learned Pluto was a planet in elementary school and I’m not going to change my opinion now.” Steven Colbert is very very proud. Read it and weep.

dactyl had a big software update and it apparently borked the webserver for a little bit. It should be fixed now.

If you ever notice the blog not working correctly, send me an email so I can fix it. Kudos to Michael for letting me know this time.

(That sounds very much like I’m in “Office Space”. Let’s all give a big round of applause for this week’s big performer! Yeah! Now here’s your paper hat, get back to work.)
