Fortunately for us folks out here in the real world, the political cartoonists seem to be listen to the prevailing scientific wisdom about the whole thing. Is it too much to ask that our fearless leaders become at least as competent about the subject as a cartoonist…?

Tools: Negative Fifty Bazillion
As you may or may not know, the Little League World Series happened this past week just half an hour up the road from me in Williamsport. This year the team from Columbus, Georgia pulled off a 2-1 comeback to take the World Series title against Kawaguchi, Japan. This is the first since 1992-93 that the US team won two years back-to-back.
Kirsten and I went to the theater on Friday, and this was really a good movie. It definitely gets a thumbs up from both of us.
The best quote that I’ve heard about the movie is something like “Tragedy is when bad things happen to you. Comedy is when bad things happen to someone else.”
Great acting from everyone involved, a pretty heartwarming story (in the end), and a dance routine from Olive that just has to be seen to be believed. Go see it.
