It was an auspicious afternoon at the ballpark, folks; ’tis a great shame that many of our regular “Schrödinger’s Bats” teammates were unable to join us today for our first honest-to-goodness real live victory (not by forfeit, mind you) of the summer season. Behold, photographic evidence of our efforts (the astute among the audience will note the enhanced stature of the victorious many of us display):

We managed to rally back in the final inning to not only create a 17-12 lead after being down 12-10, but to also hold onto that lead through the last half of the final inning by tightening up our defense and keeping our distinguished opponents scoreless in their last few at-bats. Many thanks to today’s call-up reserve players: Charles, Joel, and John. Also deserving of cheers would be our usual motley crew of misfit fielders: Jeremy, James, Scott, Robert, myself, and Winton (not pictured, since he had to duck out during the last inning in order to catch the late afternoon Coach to Boston for his conference this next week). Hopefully, we’ll see the return of some players (Chris, Rob, Nick, Michael) from earlier in the season during the roster expansion set to occur before playoffs in the coming weeks.
Numfar, dance the “Dance of Joy”!
Hooray Victory! Hooray Béisbol!
