He even hesitated on the way, since he noticed that Trot struck out on the 3-2 pitch, rather than making contact.
Of course, I’d expect as much on a night where we owe our close lead to a 3-run shot by Dougie to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th, followed by some good hitting by Ortiz and Loretta and some solid baserunning by pinch-runner Willie Harris.
