Conspiracy theories

Has anyone seen the 911 Loose Change video? I just watched it, originally thinking, “oh, what are people complaining about now?”, but honestly…..I found it surprisingly convincing. Particularly the analysis of the Pentagon impact, the footage of the WTC collapse, slowed down to show the explosions well below where the collapse debris had reached, and the numerous reports of explosions before the collapse occurred. If you’ve got an hour and 20 minutes (plus download time), give it a shot. I’m curious what everyone thinks. Am I just gullible?

Important accomplishments

Every once in a while, you read about someone who really inspires you, whose efforts are truly remarkable. Sometimes this is progressive action, pushing society farther/faster than it really wants to be pushed, achieving dramatic change that was deemed necessary but had confounded previous generations as to the implementation.

Others are conservative in the best sense of the word, managing to preserve the best of the “good old days”, ensuring that the most exceptional elements of history live on to be enjoyed far into the future. Mike Rosenzweig (Dartmouth ‘06) is one such individual, recognizing a need, doing research, and taking action to restore a vital institution.
