Wine, Pornstars, and Billy Joel

(1) Natalie Oliveros, better known as Savanna Samson, has found significant success when trying her hand at enology. Obviously it sounds like a gimmick, but when her Sogno Ono received a score of 90 to 91 out of 100 by wine guru Robert Parker, people are giving it a little more respect. (Kinda funny bit is that her partner is Roberto Cipresso, a respected Italian wine maker who worked for the late Pope John Paul II.)

quality quote:

Journalist Frank Cerabino of the Palm Beach Post, noticed that the vocabulary of wine appreciation is startlingly similar to that of porn film critique. “It turns out there is less difference than you might imagine in discussing, say, a good Pinot Noir and Savanna Samson’s performance in Last Girl Standing,” he wrote. Of both, one might say that they are “velvety with a hint of cherry” and have “a pleasant lingering finish.”

(2) A Miami-based dancer is suing the owners and producers of the Broadway musical “Movin’ Out” for more than $100 million in damages on grounds that she was emotionally abused and fired after her breasts grew too large for her costumes - they grew from C to D while she was recovering from an injury.
