but that pass interference call was bullshit. As Phil Simms said, if anything that should have been against Lelie. Oh well, props to you Nick for having your boys punch it in… we don’t have a rush D and that’s not going to cut it.
[Edit: here’s a thought that I had this morning in the shower, a sure sign of the apocalypse - Jake Plummer = Super Bowl MVP? Here’s the thought process: In my head at least, the Pats gave the game to Denver as much as the Broncos won it. Also, the Colts are playing a Pittsburg team that is v. lucky and are themselves coming off over a month period where they haven’t played a quality/meaningful game. So, since all the teams I want to do well are sucking, this means that the Steelers are gonna come up with some bullshit win, and that means the Denver boys are gonna meet P-burg for a chance to go to the Big Game, and I can’t imagine them choking that game away - much as Shanny will try.
So, this means that Denver will meet either Carolina, Chicago, or Seattle in the big game. Carolina’s good, but their strength is also Denver’s, so I go with D-town. Chicago is a threat, but I still don’t trust Rex Grossman to win a Super Bowl, and Seattle might not have their MVP running back for the game…
…which means, Jake Plummer will win a Super Bowl. maybe those Left Behind crazies aren’t so wrong, after all.
