Waiting For Vacuum…
Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006
I’m sure Michael can relate: this is one of those posts that gets made because I feel like goofing off a bit, rather than getting other work done, while I’m waiting for the circulation lines on the dilution fridge to reach a certain vacuum level before I can open up the valve to the turbopump all the way and leave the whole thing to pump out overnight.
Yeah, so, in order to make this a worthwhile post, I’ll toss in a movie review.
I happened to catch “The Girl in the CafĂ©” on HBO while home for the holidays.
Although the latter half hour felt a bit forced, the perfomance by Bill Nighy as Lawrence shouldn’t be missed. Furthermore, Kelly MacDonald makes for a compellingly free-spirited GIna, and the writing is, for the most part, superb.
Alright, time to go crack the valve open a little bit more.
