so, am i the only one who, after seeing the tanqueray commercials, is so weirded out by their “spokesman” that they will never buy the product?

DAMMIT!

naturally, the movies i most wanted to see in the dfs in winter term are being shown while i’m trapped in hell. two weeks. i’m only gone two weeks. why the hell are all the good movies scheduled together!!!

goodbye, “Good Night, And Good Luck”. see ya later “Harry Potter”. well, see ya sooner, Harry. looks like “Good Night, and Good Luck” will have to be a dvd rental, but goddammit, i will see harry potter in the theater. perhaps i’ll blow off packing tomorrow to go see it. it better still be showing either in lebanon or somewhere at home when i get there.

fucking observing runs. honestly, who really needs TWO SOLID WEEKS of 1.3m spectra?? not to mention i’ll have to pay $350 to board Mira the whole time, because no one wants to take her out of niceness for two whole fucking weeks.

iTunes & Paypal

For those of you who purchase more than a couple songs from the iTunes musics store, you may want to check this out - buy an iTunes gift certificate and get 10 or 25 free songs if you pay with Paypal. I’m assuming that you can give one to yourself, so this is a way to get 30 songs for $20…

Phew!

My faith in humanity is restored. In the Dover, PA school board trial, the judge said “We find that the secular purposes claimed by the Board amount to a pretext for the Board’s real purpose, which was to promote religion in the public school classroom.” Actually, I think I have more of a problem with the promotion of crappy pseudo-science than with the non-separation of church and state.

Anyway, this probably doesn’t really decide anything since they can appeal, etc. But it’s a nice precedent.
