Space dust
Sunday, November 27th, 2005Not earth-shaking news, but still impressive and whatnot. Actually, my first thought was “dude, I wonder how tricky it is to keep stable” when they shot the asteroid. (That was b/c i misread gramme as kilogram, but no matter.) In addition to some advance warning of an “Armageddon”scenario, it’ll be kinda cool to find out what the suckers are made of. (The probe’s capsule containing the samples is due to land in the Australian outback in June 2007.)
