Look, I don’t inherently have a problem with religion. I live in a church. But I do have a problem with intolerant beliefs cloaked in “science”.

The new standards include several specific challenges, including statements that there is a lack of evidence or natural explanation for the genetic code, and charges that fossil records are inconsistent with evolutionary theory.

It also states that says certain evolutionary explanations “are not based on direct observations… and often reflect… inferences from indirect or circumstantial evidence”.

“This is a great day for education,” board chairman Steve Abrams told the Reuters news agency.

Got some new music lately that I think should be shared, that is in my New Blog Songs playlist on iTunes. The especially fabulous part is the “Look At All The Love We Found” Sublime tribute album. Some good shit, I have to say. Especially honorable mentions: Jack Johnson doing a fade between Badfish and Boss DJ. Also, Bargain Music’s version of Get Out is fabulous. With people like Avail, Bargain Music, Filibuster, Half Pint, Fishbone, Spearhead, No Doubt, Ozomatli and Pennywise, it’s hard to expect less than at least worth the listen. Good shit.

(And for those not familiar with some of theses songs or bands, most all original Sublime is also in my music library and I have examples to share from many of the above liseted artists as well.)
