Well, I reckon there will be loads of sports-talk analyzing the failure of the Boston Red Sox to extend their reign as World Series champs for another year, and the Angels have a good shot at sending the Yanks packing as well, so I reckon folks’ll have to chalk this one up to experience and work on getting the most out of the young bucks for next year. I expect we’ll see lots of shakedown in the Boston roster
In other news, at least post-season baseball distractions can’t keep Oprah from getting it done. I’m tellin’ y’all, if Oprah can get better results than “America’s Most Wanted” in a fraction of the time, then our next presidential hopefuls better start courtin’ the “Oprah vote” right now.
Seriously, I don’t care if you’re Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green, or whatever, as long as you can get Oprah to place her stamp of approval on your campaign and get her audience to swing your way, you’ve got a ticket to Washington right there. Forget the special interests or any of that other BS; just get your ass on “Oprah” as soon as possible to get a lock on this thing for 2008.
Hell, I’d even give some serious thought to voting for Oprah herself if she was so inclined. We’ve definitely done worse…
