Slate’s got a nice sort of modest proposal, written by their usual Supreme Court analyst, on why we should be supporting ID and all the good it can do us.
My favorite part is about how it would really change “Car Talk”. 
Well, I reckon we all knew it was coming, but I’m still worried about the sort of legal floodgates this may eventually lead to.
Fortunately, the research is still in its infancy, and it may well come to show that pathological liars and other folks with certain psychiatirc tendencies can stump an MRI, effectively relegating it to the same legal realm as polygraphs.
I’d put good money on the chance that most of us will live to see the Supreme Court hear a case regarding the use of MRI technology for lie detection.

We need to get back into the habit of making films in the “giant squids attack things” genre. I think that’s sorely missing from Hollywood fare nowadays.
I would pay good money to see “Giant Squids Attack Fargo”, ’cause, you know, with it being landlocked and all, I’d really be looking forward to how they explained the giant squids being there in the first place. Bonus points if the squids take out North Dakota in the midst of a January blizzard.
