Boy, if there was ever a post that really called for the “geek” category…

I just figured out how to modify your .bash_profile file and .xinitrc on a Mac to allow you to run X11 programs from the terminal (rather than an xterm window). Even cooler, it’s allowing me to display X programs from different sources at the same time with no configuration changes.

It also fixed the minor path problems that I was having with fink binaries.

Anyway, if you want to see what my config files look like, just catch me in person.
