Here’s the update…
The mallets are done except for cutting the handles to length and adding the cork tape.
The pegs are completely done (unless I decide to put copper caps on the hammering ends)
The hoops and balls should be showing up via UPS sometime this week.

so, once again my roommate and her boyfriend have loaded the dishwasher full, but failed to run the damn thing. so i had to try to cram my 3 plates in, because I’LL look like the bad guy if i leave them in the sink, run the damn dishwasher, and then someone else unloads it and has to deal with *MY* dirty dishes as well. cuz god knows i’m not gonna be the first person awake tomorrow.
and, while i’m standing over the dishwasher, trying to figure out how i’m getting my plates in, a MOUSE runs from under the dishwasher, across to and under the stove. the mouse that I TOLD MY LANDLORD WE HAD BEFORE I WENT OBSERVING! i had marched up to his office and said, look at my bread bag, it’s been chewed through and the bread eaten, we have a mouse. why is it still here?? there’s a bag of marshmallows on the island, which i can only pray were kept on the counter and not in the cupboards, that have also been obviously gnawed on by rodent teeth. i just hope (or do i?) that my roommate and her boyfriend realize this, since it seems to be in the pile of food that she’s giving to him. of course, once again my landlord has vanished and never told me where he was going or when he was getting back. do i put up with the mouse, or try to take care of him myself? because i don’t use normal mouse traps. i don’t want to deal with squished mouse. if i use Chris’s handy little pb-covered soda can over a bucket of water trick, i need to figure out where to put the bucket so the mouse can get up to the wire with the can.
mira is of course useless in this, because she’d rather lick the dishes in the dishwasher.
