1. i’d really like to go buy some ice cream, but i left my wallet at the vet. it was only a matter of time. i always put my wallet down to sign the receipt, and then mira distracts me.
2. stepping on a slug feels really gross. even through 2 inches of shoe. apparently they CAN be squished to death. i don’t know why that surprises me.
3. eggs are best enjoyed when they are fried in bacon grease. mmm, bacon and eggs.
I figure most of y’all don’t read this particular webcomic, as it’s heavily geared towards tabletop gamers like myself, but the gag in the last panel of today’s guest comic is some especially awesome name-checking of a ’70’s-era sitcom. [Link will change on Friday, so act fast!]
According to a story on yahoo, oil prices would need to hit about $90 a barrel to match energy prices of the early 1980s… which was apparently the last time that energy was really expensive.
We’re at about $67 a barrel today, so our gas costs [very roughly] two thirds of what is has cost in the past.
Well, it looks like I will be getting the staples out of my head this evening in Fairbanks before heading home. I know you are all sad to not see my latest inteligent self inflicted injury, but you might have to settle for a picture. Maybe in Hanover again I’ll up the ante next time so it will be even more hilarious and severe. Purely for your entertainment of course…
