Does anyone know how to weld or know someone who can weld?

I have some U shaped thingies that I need made (2 straight legs welded onto a straight top piece) and I have no idea who to go to. I used to be able to do oxy-acetelene and have arc-welded a few joints but that was years ago.

If I were home, I’d just ask the shop teacher if there were any students who wanted to make a few bucks. Does Hanover High have metal shop? For summer-school students?

dammit, i’d been doing decently well with the sleep thing this summer, but it’s all been shot to hell again. i couldn’t fall asleep last night, i figured due to the caffeine i had relatively late in the evening. tonight, i passed out on the couch at about 9:30pm, woke up at 12:30am, and before going to bed, i had to clean up a little puddle that mira left for me while i was asleep. til i did that, it was 1am, so i figured, what the hell, i’ll watch the daily show. then i went downstairs to try to sleep, and naturally, here i am. still awake. starting to feel vaguely tired, maybe i’ll sleep yet tonight. but i’m not holding my breath.
