so, the water pump broke this morning. we have no water, except the drinking water from the water bottles, and some dirty water that we can pour into the toilets to flush with. we also have access to a dorm room at kitt peak proper for showering, and the operator’s house at the 12m, which has a flushable toilet because it’s actually lower than the water tower.
Have y’all looked at the forecast for the weekend? Fuck.
Since Kirsten and I have a new mattress showing up this afternoon, we have an extra one. If no one wants it, it’s heading to the dump.

There’s wireless at MDM! I didn’t know that.
So, we got in at 9:30 local time. I actually saw some woman on the flight with the female-mullet-with-ponytail! God was that ugly.
Invasion du jour: ladybug-like insects. not sure that they’re actually ladybugs. but there’s little black spots all over the carpet, which are the deceased ones, and I’ve had one crawling on my pantleg already. I suppose it’s better than the spiders. Haven’t seen those yet, but I think they’d been more prevalent at the 1.3m last June.
And let me just say, flying when you’ve got a cold SUCKS ASS! I kept getting a headache about 5 to 10 minutes after reaching cruising altitude. Like someone stabbing me in the nose with an ice pick.
