Welcome

Tomorrow a friend of mine from undergrad, David, gets here. He will be here for the summer working for Lorenza for an reu program thing. So when you see him, welcome him cause he is such a fun guy :) And we are going to go get indain food for dinner tomorrow (Wednesday) night, if anyone is interested in going, let me know.

    I think I could be talked into that, assuming y’all’d have me. Keep us posted.

    Also: how many of y’all frequently use the double-contraction structure, such as the above “y’all’d” for “y’all would”? And in the subjunctive to boot! Okay, now I’m just being a grammar/linguistics geek. I blame it all on my liberal arts education. :)

    Ok, so indeed, i did sleep half the day. I’d vote for dinner at least no earlier than 5:30.

    I frequently use “I’d've”. It’s the only one that springs to mind at the moment.
