I’m a nerd, but how many frames-per-second are people getting? I get like 50 fps with OpenGL off and 80 with it on. However, when it’s on, my mouse moves the wrong direction in the menus.

I’m getting 65-70 fps on my laptop. No OpenGL either.

i’m getting around 60fps, no opengl.

just for the record, i didn’t install this until told to do so for research purposes. 56 fps as a windows box, we’ll see in linux-land.

hmmm, interestingly enough, it seems that my windows box gets 54-56 without OpenGL, and 60 with it…

OpenGL _should_ speed stuff up since it lets you use your graphics card to do a lot of the thinking instead of the processor. On my laptop, OpenGL ends up giving me the 30% speedup in framerate and cuts the load on the processor by around a third.

oh and the cursor moving the wrong way is a known bug. it only happens if you have OpenGL turned on and aren’t in full-screen mode.
So no worries.

yeah, I guess I was just surprised to have Windows not screw something up, and actually have OpenGL speed it up? and secondarily amusing that it resulted in a 10% change a most…

I beat level 9 last night and am now stuck on level 10 (the first “dark” level). Damn bouncing snowballs!!!

there’s a little thing that has too many bad guys in it though.
